Pet Policy

 

 

Upon check-in, please notify the office of your pets.  Pet charges will be on a per pet basis.  If the resort is not notified of your pet (prior to your stay or at check-in), then you will be charged double the pet rate.

In registering to stay at Bay View Resort, you agree to follow the pet policies listed below and also confirm that your pet(s) is/are not aggressive in any manner and that your pet(s) is/are current on all necessary shots:

If you are not prepared to keep your pet quiet (repetitive barking will not be tolerated), on a leash at all times while outside, and not leave the pet unattended unless in cage, crate (Inside the cottages and out), Then please do not bring your pet.

1.      Pit bull type dogs are not allowed.  The definition of a pit bull includes; pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, American pit bull terrier or a dog that shares the physical characteristics.  Determination shall be up to the sole discretion of the resort.

2.      Proof of current vaccinations is required.  (Valid tag, or photocopy of paperwork)

3.      Dogs should be kept quiet.  If the dog is a repetitive barker, please do not bring it to the resort. They should not disturb the other guests.

4.      All dogs have to be kept on a leash and please clean up after your pet; refuse and other items.

5.      Pets will not be left unattended at the site or anywhere in the resort, at any time.

6.      Any dogs of any breed involved in any kind of attack will be reported to the SPCA.  An attack means a person just has to be threatened by a dog, no bite has to occur.

7.      Only registered guests can bring pets, Visitor’s pets are not welcome.

8.      If there are any problems with the dog, example excessive barking, the owner will need to remove the dog from the resort.

9.      You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the resort; its owners and operators, from all liability and damage suffered as a result of your pet.

10. Please keep your pet off of bedding and furniture; please bring your own pet blanket. 

11. Please be aware that your pet can cause damage (e.g. screens, mattresses, furniture, etc,) and you will be charged accordingly.

12. You should be aware of the fact that there are some pet threats such as porcupines, skunks, raccoons, fishers and, possibly other dogs, all of which could prove a menace to your pet if it is not under your supervision.

13. Owners must sign agreement upon check in and are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from your pet.  Your pet is solely your responsibility.
